What is your role with REV? How would you describe your role in a few words?
I am the Sales Manager for REV. My role largely requires me to ensure we are strategic in our sales efforts, essentially to balance the number of new clients and new products while ensuring we are putting consistent effort into existing clients.
What is your favorite thing about your role and working in this industry?
My favorite thing is that my role is challenging. We have a ton of really strong competitors in this market and finding unique opportunities to stand above them in the client's eyes is difficult and therefore exciting.
What would you say is your most special skill in this line of work?
I have the good fortune of being part of a few teams that have started from ground zero. While REV is certainly not starting from zero, the perspective I have gained from previous employers is a good balance to the team here at REV.
Has there been a particular moment/event that has stood out to you in your time with REV?.
We had been awarded a project to a new client who’s needs for uptime were vital and demanding. A few weeks after commissioning the project, Randy our PM received a call at around 10:00 am on a Friday of a long weekend that this particular client was having issues. I watched from a distance as the whole team turned on a dime to keep this client happy. Within 15 minutes our FS tech was on the road to assist. Turns out the problem was not ours however we fixed it anyway. It wasn’t the speed with which we responded that stood out it was the fact that everyone just acknowledged that this is what we do, nobody complained at all! Today we are sole sourced on products from that same client likely due in large part to the team’s reaction to this problem.
What is an interesting fact about you?
I own a Hobby honey farm, I currently have around 850,000 bees (I’ve named every one).
I find it extremely relaxing and it helps me to feel like I am doing my part for the environment.
