Responsibly and Reliably Powering Industry

Leadership

At REV, our team is our most valuable asset. We come together as the most talented in the industry as we have proudly accumulated over 100 years of experience in custom electrical manufacturing and service.

Dean Petig

Principal

Dean Petig has over 38 years of experience in the electrical manufacturing industry. Prior to becoming a partner with REV in 2009 he worked his way through all aspects of the design, manufacturing, testing and sale of electrical equipment. Dean has an extensive resume of project involvement, ranging from equipment related projects to the mining and oil sands industries. He has been directly involved with many innovative new designs and prides himself on providing end users with the best possible solutions. Dean is very proud to currently be REV’s acting President and a member on the board of directors.

Shawn Oldenburger

Principal

Shawn Oldenburger is one of REV’s founding principals. With 18+ years of experience in field services and testing Shawn has worked his way up through many roles. Starting as a field service technician, Shawn worked towards a PM role and later became a VP of field services. Now as a Principal at REV, Shawn has found his favorite part of the industry to be the ever changing technology of electrical systems, as well as his clients. “One of the best parts of working in this industry is meeting new clients and working with them on their electrical needs, it is incredibly fulfilling.”

Roland Davidson

Principal

Roland Davidson, R.E.T., first developed his passion for electricity working with his grandfather, a self-made handyman. His inspirations have taken him through his career as he made his start as a power systems field service representative, later moving into a branch manager role, ownership and now founding principal role. Roland has a very vast and well-rounded experience in working on numerous types of power systems, receiving level IV certification under NETA and becoming a group leader of the CSA Z463 technical committee. Roland most enjoys working with his partners and the dedicated REV staff, building REV’s capabilities and reputation through strategic planning, exemplary customer service, and a culture of safety and excellence.

Ray Bartman

Principal

Ray Bartman is one of REV’s founding principals. His everyday goal is to provide organizational leadership to the manufacturing and design departments at REV, with responsibility for the overall direction, coordination and operation of the departments. Starting as a graduate from the University of Alberta with Professional Engineer certification, Ray now has 25 years of experience in the electrical industry with a specialization in protection and control systems for the power industry. He finds the best part of this industry to be that it never gets old, as things are continuously changing and the energy industry continues to move into a new era.

Jason Molstad

Principal

As a founding principal at REV, Jason is a leader in client relations, business development and REV’s field service department. Jason had his start in the industry as a teen as he assisted his Dad in contract work throughout the power industry. Now with 25 years in the electrical industry, he has developed a copious amount of skills in the areas of substation maintenance and construction as well as field service testing, retrofits, equipment upgrades and many more. Jason strongly believes that REV’s team and clients are the best part of his work and has a particular passion towards REV’s participation in giving back to the community. Jason looks forward to seeing just how far REV’s charitable work will go in the near future.

Trevor Schmidt

General Manager

As REV’s general manager, Trevor Schmidt oversees all operations, including field service, manufacturing and supply chain. With over 20 years of operations and manufacturing management experience, Trevor possesses strong new business development and management skills, lean manufacturing techniques, and team building, enabling him to be a successful leader of business in a rapid growth environment. His favorite part of this line of work is the industry dynamic, “I really look forward to seeing new markets in wind and solar energy.” It is Trevor’s “whatever it takes attitude” that helps him to maintain a strong work ethic and the ability to lead by example.

Jordan Burt

Field Services Manager

Field Services Manager, Jordan Burt, P. Eng., is responsible for overseeing the field and engineering departments at REV. Over the past 13 years with REV, Jordan has worked his way through various positions in order to achieve the role as Engineering Manager and now Field Services Manager. Jordan has extensive experience in electrical safety, completing various arc flash studies for REV’s clients, and this year will become REV’s representative on the CSA Z462 Workplace Electrical Safety Technical Committee. Jordan has found throughout his experiences that the most enjoyable part of working at REV is the staff and the ever changing challenges that field services present.
