Protection and Control Design

Safe and reliable

Electrical power must not only be safe to use; it must be reliable. Obsolete equipment is often too slow and inefficient to cope with system upsets, leading to unnecessary outages and downtime.

Through our extensive experience, protective relaying upgrades from traditional electro-mechanical and early vintage solid-state devices can significantly improve the overall reliability of your power system.  Microprocessor-based relay setting files are integral to REV’s engineered solution ensuring a fully functional and “fine-tuned” system upon completion of any project. Understanding that connectivity is critical to all new protection and control systems, REV protection and control systems are designed to integrate with existing industrial control systems (DCS) or SCADA equipment.  When necessary, site communication assistance and support is also available.
