What is your role with REV? How would you describe your role in a few words?

I am the Human Resources and Benefits Coordinator with REV. I manage full cycle recruitment, employee orientations, onboarding and benefits programs, as well assist management in developing, communicating and implementing HR initiatives and changes. As the Human Resources and Benefits Coordinator, I am also pleased to participate in promoting positive employee morale and championing REV’s culture.

What is your favorite thing about your role and working in this industry?

REV’s employees are our most valuable asset and many have been with us for their entire career. Given the dynamic services and products REV offers, I have the opportunity to recruit for an array of employees with skill sets ranging from Machine Operators to Journeyman Welders, and from Field Service Representatives to Electrical Engineers. Employees enjoy a workplace that continually strives for excellence and is results driven, while still allowing for a fun and positive work environment. As HR, my passion is people and contributing to the development and sustainability of a reputable company culture.

What would you say is your most special skill in this line of work?

I believe my most special skill in this line of work is that I am a people person who values building and maintaining strong working relationships. I am passionate about the work I do and take pride in delivering HR support and guidance that aligns with business goals and objectives. I consider myself to have a positive approach and strive to work diligently through challenging circumstances.

Has there been a particular moment/event that has stood out to you in your time with REV?

Having been with the company for just over 6 years, I have witnessed REV work through the ups and downs of the economy and I am proud to be a part of such a resilient organization. We have a great team here and I’m pleased to see departments and teams continue to support each other when in need.     

What is an interesting fact about you?

I was born and raised in the beautiful Okanagan and landed my first professional office position at an accounting firm at the age of 14. I moved to Calgary in 2007 and from there gradually began pursuing a career in Human Resources, eventually joining the REV team in 2013!
