What is your role with REV? How would you describe your role in a few words?
For the last 9 ½ years here at REV I have been a Project Manager. My position has me responsible for projects from start to finish, from concept, to planning, ordering, problem solving, document control, and product quality for the client to make sure that the product they have on order with us is built to the highest standards.
What is your favorite thing about your role and working in this industry?
It always amazes me how we build something from nothing. We start with a concept on paper, then with consultation with the client and a whole lot of work with our amazing design team we can build something so large IE: an E-House that it has to be loaded on some of the largest flat bed trucks out there and leaves in the early hours of the morning. This is always a proud moment for me when I see it leave the yard.
What would you say is your most special skill in this line of work?
Being in this industry for my entire career, I would say my ability to provide feedback and quickly resolve issues that come up with the client or on the shop floor and if things don’t go quite to plan.
Has there been a particular moment/event that has stood out to you in your time with REV?
The year we won the contact for Suncor / Fort Hills that involved the construction of 11 Substations that we had to produce in less than 2 years. Been P.M was quite the job to maintain a production schedule building four Substations at a time all at various production stages, this required an enormous amount of attention to detail and a steady eye on material flow. It took all hands-on deck to help accomplish this process until all 11 substations were completed.
What is an interesting fact about you?
I just became a Grandpa this year, as our daughter just had a baby girl named Everly who is now 5 months old. It’s a wonderful thing and I enjoy spending time with her. I love to travel the world, ride my street bike, go camping, hiking and snowshoeing in the winter.
