POSITION SUMMARY:

REV’s SCM team is seeking resourceful, driven Purchaser / Expeditor . The Purchaser / Expeditor is responsible for facilitating procurement, fulfillment and managing supplier performance activities to enable manufacturing and operational organizational requirements.

POSITION DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Procurement:

  • Effective work execution and management of procurement lifecycle to ensure requirements are delivered within legal, risk, commercial, quality and time constraints
  • Understand and analyze market capacity, pricing, forecast, and plans to support business requirements
  • Develop and manage full RFQ, RFP and RFI lifecycles activities
  • Negotiate legal and commercial terms
  • Purchase Order and Contract formation, award and administration

Fulfillment:

  • Expedite suppliers
  • Manage global customs, freight and logistics requirements

Manage Supplier Performance:

  • Manage supplier capacity, relationships, commercial and overall performance
  • Development and implementation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement
  • Identify new and manage approved supplier database

Other:

  • Focus on continuous improvement of SCM practices to adapt with changing organizational requirements and market conditions
  • Manage Total Cost of Ownership initiatives by identify savings, efficiencies, quality and safety opportunities
  • Performs all duties to meet the responsibilities listed in REV’s Safety and Human Resources Policy Manuals, REV’s quality system policies and procedures
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned to meet REV`s goals and objectives

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have:

  • 8+ years progressive related experience:
  • RFQ, RFP and RFI lifecycles activities
  • Negotiate legal and commercial terms
  • Purchase Order and Contract formation, award and administration
  • Experience working in Microsoft Dynamics NAV
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills
  • Must have exemplary analytical skills, organizational skills with strong attention to detail

Strongly Preferred:

  • Degree or diploma from an accredited institution in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field
  • Electrical industry experience
  • LEAN Manufacturing experience

Must be:

  • A collaborative team player with focus on customer service to internal clients
  • A self-start, have a willingness to learn and develop new skills, have exceptional interpersonal skills, the have ability to work independently and a team environment

DEPARTMENT: Supply Chain Management

REPORTS TO: Senior Manager, Supply Chain Management

START DATE: As soon as possible

DURATION: Full-time 40 hours

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in an office environment

WORKING HOURS: 7:00AM - 3:30PM. This role requires occasional after-hours support or flexible on-call hours

SYSTEMS: Microsoft Dynamics NAV, MS Office applications and M-Files

WAGE / SALARY: Dependent on experience

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: As this position is identified as security sensitive, employment of a final candidate will be conditional upon completion of pre-employment criminal background and drug & alcohol check assessments with satisfactory results.

Must be legally authorized to work in the Canada and be based in Calgary, Alberta area.
